Macugnaga, the pearl of the Rosa
Macugnaga is a splendid alpine village at the foot of Monte Rosa, boasting the only Himalayan-type face in Europe; its centuries-old “Walser” culture and lush nature will captivate you.
In summer, the beautiful walks to the Lago delle Fate, on foot or on horseback, the climb to the Zamboni, to the Lago delle Locce, to Monte Moro and many others will fill your eyes with wonder.
Winter offers you the chance to experience unspoilt nature on snowshoes or to enjoy a fine run on skis, all on a human scale.
